Keep the ball in play
Choose a realistic fairway-sized window. Hit ten tee shots and count playable starts rather than chasing your longest drive.
Build a repeatable routine around safe tee shots, reliable contact, simple chips, and putting pace. Start with one weakness and record the same test next time.
Choose your focus Start with the shot that needs work.
Follow one clear test Keep the setup and attempts consistent.
Track your result Repeat and compare your own scores.
Your practice toolkit
Work on one at a time. A shorter club can be a sensible choice when it helps you reach the next shot safely.
10 shots
Choose a realistic fairway-sized window. Hit ten tee shots and count playable starts rather than chasing your longest drive.
8 shots
Use a permitted ground reference and hit eight 7 irons. Count ball-first strikes from the same setup.
15 chips
Hit fifteen chips toward a towel target and count first bounces in the zone. Keep the club and starting point consistent.
Fixed attempt count
Choose a longer starting distance and a realistic two-putt zone. Record how many balls finish inside it, together with your distance and attempt count.
Illustrations show the setup, not exact distances. Use a designated practice area and keep other golfers clear of your shots.
A scoring goal gives practice direction. It is not a guarantee of a particular round score.
Put the plan into practice
Build a routine around the same tee-shot and chip tests. Use the full program when you want the sessions organized week by week.
Record your sessionScore ten starts and record the window you used.
Run the same tee-shot test with the same target.
Record the first-bounce result from fifteen chips.
At the end of week two, compare using the original rules.
