PICK YOUR FOCUS

What are you working on today?

Start with one skill, then choose a drill that matches your miss.

01 / TEE SHOTS

Driver

Start with solid contact. A centered strike gives you a useful baseline before changing your swing.
Explore the full driver guide →

Contact · 15 balls

Face spray check

Find where the ball is meeting the face.

  1. Use impact spray or foot powder on the driver face.
  2. Hit five normal tee shots and note the mark after each.
  3. Adjust tee height or ball position one small step at a time, then hit five more.
Accuracy · 12 balls

Fairway gate

Give every shot a realistic target window.

  1. Pick two distant landmarks about a fairway width apart.
  2. Play 12 shots, following your full routine each time.
  3. Count starts between the landmarks. Record your score out of 12.
Tempo · 10 balls

Three-quarter driver

Control the swing before adding speed.

  1. Make five swings at an easy, balanced pace.
  2. Hit 10 balls with a shorter backswing and full finish.
  3. Compare contact and direction with your normal swing.
Target · 9 balls

Three-fairway challenge

Practice changing your aim like you would on the course.

  1. Choose left, middle and right target corridors.
  2. Hit three shots to each corridor, switching after every shot.
  3. Score one point for a ball starting in its intended corridor.
02 / APPROACH SHOTS

Irons

Work on brushing the ground after the ball, then bring that contact to changing distances.
Explore the full irons guide →

Low point · 20 balls

Line drill

See exactly where your club bottoms out.

  1. Draw a line in sand or use a removable mark on grass, perpendicular to your target line.
  2. Make five half swings with the brush mark on the target side.
  3. Place a ball just behind the line and hit 15 shots, counting ball-first strikes.
Contact · 10 balls

Towel behind the ball

Get feedback when the club reaches the ground too early.

  1. On a range mat, set a small towel a few inches behind the ball.
  2. Hit short shots without touching the towel.
  3. Move to normal-length swings only when you can repeat the contact.
Balance · 12 balls

Feet-together swings

Find an easy rhythm and stable finish.

  1. Stand with your feet close together and use a short iron.
  2. Hit 12 soft half shots without losing balance.
  3. Return to your normal stance while keeping the same tempo.
Distance · 9 balls

Three-distance ladder

Practice landing the ball at different distances.

  1. Pick short, middle and long targets you can reach with one club.
  2. Hit three balls to each, switching targets after every shot.
  3. Record how many finish within a reasonable zone around the target.
03 / AROUND THE GREEN

Chipping

Choose where the ball lands, then learn how far it rolls with different clubs.
Explore the full chipping guide →

Landing · 15 balls

Towel landing zone

Turn a vague target into a specific spot.

  1. Lay a towel on the green where you want the first bounce.
  2. Hit five chips each from three nearby lies.
  3. Count first bounces on the towel, regardless of final distance.
Rollout · 12 balls

One landing spot, two clubs

See how loft changes the amount of roll.

  1. Use one landing spot and hit six chips with a pitching wedge.
  2. Hit six more with a sand wedge from the same lie.
  3. Compare where each ball finishes and keep a note for the course.
Touch · 9 balls

Three-lie challenge

Learn to adapt from fairway, fringe and light rough.

  1. Drop three balls in each of three safe practice lies.
  2. Pick a landing spot before every swing.
  3. Count how many finish inside one putter length of the hole.
Consistency · 10 balls

Same-spot ladder

Build a repeatable carry distance.

  1. Pick landing zones at short, medium and long chip distances.
  2. Hit to the short spot until you land two in a row near it.
  3. Advance to the next zone and repeat.
04 / ON THE GREEN

Putting

Work on starting the ball where you intend and getting long putts close enough for an easy second putt.
Explore the full putting guide →

Start line · 15 putts

Coin gate

Check whether the ball starts on your intended line.

  1. Place two coins a little wider than a ball, about a foot in front of it.
  2. Putt 15 balls through the gate toward a target.
  3. Count clean passes. Widen the gate if needed, then narrow gradually.
Pace · 12 putts

Fringe ladder

Practice distance without fixating on a hole.

  1. From several paces away, roll a ball toward the edge of the green.
  2. Try to stop each ball close to the fringe without rolling off.
  3. Move farther back after three successful putts.
Short putts · 20 putts

Clock drill

Build confidence from every side of the hole.

  1. Place four balls around a hole, each about three feet away.
  2. Putt clockwise. Reset after each full circle.
  3. Record makes out of 20. Respect other golfers on a shared green.
Lag putts · 9 putts

Three-distance circle

Give long putts a useful finish zone.

  1. Pick three long-putt starting points at different distances.
  2. Hit three from each spot.
  3. Score putts that stop inside an imaginary three-foot circle around the hole.
